Help for Hurricane Fiona

Hundreds of thousands of people were left without power after Hurricane Fiona hit the east coast of Canada.

Three provinces experienced torrential rainfall and powerful winds, uprooting trees, felling power lines and washing homes out to sea. Families and churches are recovering after damage to property. The most vulnerable people in the Maritimes are at risk.

The Maritime District of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada is responding, mobilizing churches to reach their communities. ERDO is supporting this districts work, matching donations up to $10,000 for immediate assistance.

One community in particular, Glace Bay, has been hard hit. This town is located on the eastern edge of Cape Breton. The community faced many challenges before the hurricane, and now are struggling with no power and little food. Lighthouse Church in Glace Bay is preparing over three hundred meals for families in the area.
